William Tilley

William Doyle "Bill" Tilley, Sr., age 68 of Carroll Dr. passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Atrium Health Cleveland. He was born July 15, 1950 in Gaston County to the late Willie Issac and Flotella Laws Tilley

Bill was a faithful member and Head Deacon of Temple Baptist church of Shelby. He also had a love for carp fishing. Bill loved his family and was a wonderful "Paw-Paw" to his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Dale Hedgpeth Tilley; sons, Bill Tilley, Jr. (Leeann), Chad Brittain (Julie); daughter, Bobbie Gillaspie (David); brother, Michael Joe Tilley; sisters, Shirley Walker (Jerry), Judy Waters, and Darlene Walls; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Bills life will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday February 23, 2019 at Ranlo Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Price and Rev. Mike Wilson officiating.

Burial will be private.

The family will receive friends at the home.
