William Rex

William Joseph Rex, age 60, of 100 3rd Street, Rices Landing, PA died January 9, 2014 at his daughter's residence in Mt. Holly. Joe was born June 16, 1953 in Greene County, PA a son of the late William and Nancy Stauffer Rex. He was a retired coal miner from Maple Creek Coal Mine and bus driver for Jefferson Morgan School District and McNally Bus Company. Joe graduated from Carmichaels High School, Rices Landing PA and was a member of the United Mine Workers of America and Rices Landing Volunteer Fire Dept. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed time spent with his family and his grandsons.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, James Rex, Sr.

Survivors include his wife Darlene Sabo Rex; a son Dale Rex and wife Stacey of Gastonia NC; a daughter Tammie Rex Wofford and husband Jim of Mt. Holly, NC; four grandchildren; Dylan and Dalton Rex and Drew and Ryan Wofford; a brother, Kenny Rex and wife Cindy, of Rices Landing, PA, two sisters Thelma McCarthey and husband John of Jefferson, PA, Robin Grimm of Blairsville, PA.

Funeral services will be held at Behm Funeral Home in Jefferson, PA with burial at Greene County Memorial Park, Jefferson, PA.
