Whitney Lee Ledford, son of "Dick" Clyde C. Ledford, brother of Jason W. Ledford and stepson of Jody L. Ledford passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2024 after a yearlong battle with cancer.
Whitney enjoyed NASCAR racing and professional football. He was born March 14, 1965, was a graduate of Cherryville High School, and worked at Keystone for many years. He loved Cherryville and all of his friends.
Whit was a very caring person. He always had a cat or dog. He helped care for his grandfather, E.C. Sullivan and mother, Vicki S. Ledford until their passing. He enjoyed his friends and family.
Whitney will be missed.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 11, 2024, from 9:30 to 10:45 AM at First United Methodist Church.
A Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 AM officiated by Rev. Zack Christy. Burial will be private.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 601 N. Pink St. Cherryville, NC 28021.
