Vera Belk Randolph, age 67, of E. Main St. went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at Kings Mountain Hospice House. She was born on July 2, 1947 in Lincoln County to the late George Harrison and Mylie Lee Gilfillian Belk. Vera was a member of Faith Baptist Church. Her passion was singing Southern Gospel Music. She enjoyed singing at home, church, special events, nursing facilities, and anywhere else she was given the opportunity. Vera never met a stranger and had a genuine love for everyone she met. She enjoyed her previous time she spent working at Home Folks Café for 17 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Shane Bare; and nine siblings.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Troy Randolph; son, Wayne Randolph and wife, Cathy of Cherryville; daughters, Peggy Bare, Lisa Brock and husband, Daniel, and Teresa Day and husband, Andy, all of Cherryville; eight grandchildren, Brandon Steele, Casey Steele, Anna Brittain, Delilah Gillelan, Jacob Randolph, Gregory Kunkle, Seth Randolph, and Heather Day; three great-grandchildren, Kayleigh Potter, Eli Potter, and Ellie Brittain; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2014 at 4:00 PM at Carpenter's Funeral & Cremation Services with Rev. David Rabb and Rev. Ronnie Brogden officiating. Burial will follow at City Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2:30 to 3:45 PM at the funeral home.
