Tyler Funderburk

Joshua “Tyler” Funderburk, age 27 of Hatchett Rd. passed away Sunday, November 29, 2020 at his residence.  He was born October 25, 1993 in Lincoln County to Randy Marvin Funderburk, Jr. and Kimberly Lynn Bivens.  He was a graduate of West Lincoln High School and employed with Cataler Corporation in Lincolnton.  He was raised in North Lincolnton Baptist Church and he loved to sing.  Tyler enjoyed traveling, especially to the mountains.  He was very compassionate and had a great love for others.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Brenda Black Bivens; and uncle, David Bivens, Jr.

Survivors include his parents, Randy Funderburk, Jr. and Kimberly Bivens; grandparents, Rev. Randy Funderburk, Sr., Brenda Funderburk, and David Bivens, Sr.; service dog, Hank; step-siblings, Noah and Hope Funderburk; aunts and uncles, Angela and Randy Valko, Michelle Woody, Brian Funderburk, Matt Bivens; and numerous cousins.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, December 4, 2020 at 4:00 PM at Open Word Holiness with Rev. Randy Funderburk, Sr. and Pastor Matthew Sparks officiating.  Burial will be private.  The family will receive friends Friday from 2:00 to 3:45 PM prior to the service at the church.
