Trina Patterson

Trina Marie Patterson, age 54, formerly of Cherryville passed away Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem. She was born May 12, 1963 in Gaston County to the late Thomas "Bit" Patterson and Marie Neill Dover. She was an entrepreneur and part owner of Brushy Mountain Motors in Bland, VA and was a member of Missionary Methodist. Trina enjoyed gardening, sewing, and spending time outdoors and with family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers, Tommy and Scott Patterson; infant son, Michael Chad Carpenter and son, Chris Daniels.

She is survived by her longtime companion of 30 years, Larry C. Daniels; children, Curtis Carpenter and Melissa of Shelby, Brett Carpenter and Ericka of Lincolnton and Mandi Carpenter and Crystal of Cherryville; grandchildren, Breanna Daniels, Audrina, Madelyn, and Alexander Carpenter; brother, William E. Patterson; and special cousin, Danya Sellers Bourque.

A special thanks from the family to her doctors and the staff of Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home and to Winston-Salem Baptist Hospital for their love and care.

A Funeral Service will be held Sunday, January 14, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Carpenter-Porter Funeral & cremation Services with Rev. Will Upchurch officiating. Burial will follow at City Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:30 until 2:45 PM at the funeral home.
