Tommy Hue Heafner, age 72 of Dave Heafner Rd. passed away Sunday, October 20, 2019 at his residence. He was born November 11, 1946 in Lincoln County to the late J.D. and Etter Moree Elmore Heafner. Tommy was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Crouse and formerly ran Farmer Tom’s Produce. He loved farming and enjoyed playing cards.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Claude David Heafner, Jack Heafner, Margaret Ballenger, Bob Heafner, Peggy Neal, Frances Curtis, and Charlie Heafner.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Sain Heafner; children, Tamara Heafner Rhyne (Dean) and Jeffrey Leland Heafner (Michelle); grandchildren, Ashley Houser (Ethan), Adison Rhyne, Tanner Heafner, Carter Heafner, and Trevor Britton; great grandchildren, Annleigh Hudson and Mayleigh Houser; siblings, Glenn Heafner (Earlene), Linda Gilmore, and Carolyn Canipe; brother-in-law, Don Curtis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Carpenter-Porter Funeral & Cremation Services.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 24, 2019 at 3:00 PM at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Crouse with Rev. Rick Sloop officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
