Timothy Rakes

Timothy Lee Rakes, Sr. age 49 passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Carolina Healthcare Systems - Cleveland. He was born July 29, 1968 in Mercer County, New Jersey to Philip Daniel and Judith Stover Rakes. Tim enjoyed camping and was an avid Carolina Panthers fan. He was a friend to everyone he met.

Tim was preceded in death by a brother, Phillip Wayne Rakes.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Melinda Sakiey Rakes; sons, Jacob Michael Ellis and Timothy Lee Rakes, Jr.; sister, Vicky Ryan; mother-in-law, Evelyn Sherry Sakiey; father-in-law, Raymond Stanley Sakiey; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 2, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Carpenter-Porter Funeral & Cremation Services with Pastor Richard King officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
