Terry Schrum

Terry R. Schrum, age 76 of Sharon Rd. West in Charlotte, passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at his residence. He was born September 28, 1941 in Lincoln County to the late Harry Lee and Murl Costner Shrum. Terry was a faithful employee of 49 years at Westinghouse Siemens where he thoroughly enjoyed his work. He enjoyed being outdoors, hiking, fishing, and hunting. He was also a gun enthusiast and enjoyed going shooting. Terry was a family man and loved spending time with family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Artie McCombs.

Survivors include his sons, Eric Todd Schrum and wife, Sherry of Newton and Darrin Schrum and wife, Elizabeth of Rock Hill; grandchildren, Daniel Schrum, Cory Schrum (Emily), Rachel Sheets (Calen), Brittany Schrum (A.J. Pierce), Kacie Schrum, and Brandon Schrum; great grandchildren, Sadie and Titus Schrum and Chess Sheets; special friend, Ann Collins; brother, Allen Shrum and wife, Carol of Gastonia; and special niece, Rebecca Strock and husband, Lee.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Carpenter-Porter Funeral & Cremation Services with Rev. Ben Kifer officiating. Burial will follow at St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
