Tassie Beattie

Tassie Lenor Terres Beattie, age 90 of 240 Bess Road, Kings Mountain, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 21, 2013 from the White Oak Manor, Kings Mountain. Tassie was born on May 25, 1922 in Lincoln County, N.C. the daughter of the late Clayton and Florence Lenor Hester Terres. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother great-grandmother and friend. Tassie was a member of Independent Baptist Tabernacle Church, Dallas and was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Preston Beattie, her parents and 8 brothers and sisters.

Survivors: Daughter: Linda B. Summer (David) of Anderson, S. C., Son: Preston Dale Beattie (Ethel) of Kings Mountain. Grandson: Chad Mayhue (Daneen) of Waleska, Ga. Great Granddaughter: Kaylin Mayhue. Numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Carpenter's Funeral and Cremation Services, Cherryville and memorials may be made to Independent Baptist Tabernacle, 2128 Dallas Cherryville Hwy., Dallas, N. C. 28034.

Funeral Services will be conducted, Sunday, March 24, 2013 at the Independent Baptist Tabernacle Church at 1:00PM with Rev. Ralph Carver and Rev. Johnny Gantt officiating, burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
