Sylvia Reep

Sylvia Ann Haynes Reep, age 68, of South Dixie Street, passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at her daughter’s residence with her Chihuahua Itty by her side. She was born June 23, 1953, in Lincoln County to the late John Henry and Reba Heavner Haynes.

Sylvia was an avid NASCAR and Earnhardt fan. She enjoyed watching all types of sports with her family. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed time at the beach with her family and friends (Dottie and Tony Grice).

She was preceded in death by her husband, Randy T. Reep.

Survivors include her children, Krista Haynes of Cherryville, Hope Reep Wilson (Greg) of Cherryville, and Jason Wilson; brothers, Johnny Haynes (Phyllis) of Fallston, and Gary Haynes (Robin) of Cherryville; grandchildren, Trevor Haynes (Lindsay), Hunter Wilson, Jaycie Wilson (Anthony); great-grandchildren, Kinslee, Amani, and Becklan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00PM Sunday, March 13, 2022 at First Wesleyan Church, Cherryville with Rev. Mark Poe and Rev. Terry Floyd officiating.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
