Stella Whitworth

Mrs. Stella Mae Dollarhide Whitworth, age 85 of 201 Brown Watterson Road, died Wednesday in Carolina Medical Center, Charlotte. Stella was born in Wise County, Virginia on August 22, 1927, the daughter of the late Ed and Bessie Rose Dollarhide. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother as well as a devoted sister, a homemaker and member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Willie Mae Shuford.

Survivors: Husband: Russell Whitworth, of the home, Sons: Clifford Hill of Granite Falls, Bill Dollarhide of Marion, and Randy Whitworth of Cherryville. Daughters: Cora Lee Setzer of Elizabethton, Tenn., Diane Davis, Carolyn Foster, Linda Kerley, all of Maiden, and Stella Huffstetler of High Shoals. Numerous Grandchildren and a brother: Emmett Dollarhide, of Newton, and sister: Jo Ann Mutter of Maiden.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00AM Saturday, March 2, 2013 in Cone Memorial Chapel of Carpenter's Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Key and and Rev. Jason Foster officiating, burial will be in the Whitworth Family Cemetery, on Brown Watterson Road, Cherryville.

The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service at the Funeral Home from 10:00AM to 10:45Am.
