Stacy Lee Powell, 46 of Meadow Hill Ct. formerly of Cherryville, died April 30, 2016 at Testa Family Hospice House. He was born in Cleveland Co. on January 22, 1970 a son of the Robert Ernest and Mary Linda Black Powell of Cherryville. Stacy was a former security guard at Freightliner and a graduate of Cherryville High School class of 1988. He was a member of Flint Rock Coon Den, avid hunter, fisherman, loved gardening and member of the Traditional New Year Shooters.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 22 years Kimberly Dawn Mayhew Powell, a daughter Brittany Alexis Powell and fiancee' Justin Sisk of Lincolnton, sister Donna Powell of Cherryville, brothers Robert Powell, Jr. and wife Sandy of Bessemer City, Fred Powell and wife Michelle of Lincolnton, and Derek Smith and wife Melanie of Kings Mountain, and his beloved cat "Hunter".

A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday at St. Paul's United Methodist Church at 2 PM with Rev. Mike Austin and Rev. Claudia Harrelson officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends Wednesday at the church from 1-1:45 Pm and at other times at the home.
