Sarah Linder

Sarah Smith Linder, age 92, formerly of Clyde Street died April 26, 2013 at Cleveland Pines Nursing Center. She was born February 21, 1921 in Hickory Grove, South Carolina the daughter of the late Walt and Lizzy Smith. Sarah was retired as a domestic house keeper. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ed Linder and three step-children, two brothers Charles Smith and Robert Smith and a sister Mary Lipscomb.

Survivors include a step-daughter Ohelia Watts of Laura, Maryland and a host of nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at Cone Memorial Chapel of Carpenter's Funeral and Cremation Services Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Amanda Anderson officiating. Burial will be at a later date. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the funeral home from 12:00 noon - 12:45 PM.
