Ruth Craft

Ruth Aleene Craft, age 94, of Daytona Beach, formerly of Cherryville, died September 5, 2013, at her residence in Florida. She was born on January 23, 1919 in Gaston Co., a daughter of the late Hudson Phillip and Sallie Baxter Craft. She was formerly a member of First United Methodist Church Cherryville, and was a retired school teacher and leader of young minds for 42 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Wilber Craft; and her sister, Sara Nell Carroll.

She is survived by a half brother, Ricky Craft of Cherryville; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at 11 AM at Carpenter's Funeral and Cremation Services with the Rev. Roy T. Byers officiating. Burial will follow in City Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:45 prior to the service at the funeral home.
