Ruth Wolverton Brown, age 80, of Cherryville transitioned from her earthly body to her heavenly body on Friday, August 9, 2024, at her residence. 2 Corinthians 5:8 To be absent from the body and at home with the Lord.
Ruth was born February 11, 1944, in Bordentown, New Jersey, to the late George and Clara Braun Wolverton. Ruth was an excellent homemaker and a wonderful cook. She loved her family deeply and was an incredible Mawmaw.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Clara Brisco, Loretta Hepner, Richard, Robert, Thomas, and Joseph Wolverton.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Ronnie Brown; daughter, Robin Brown Eubanks (Tim); son, Ronnie Doyle Brown (Lucinda); grandchildren, Doyle Brown (Kristen), Ashton Brown, Victoria Brown, Ryan Eubanks (Hannah), and Grayson Eubanks; great grandchildren, Luke, Kate, and Eli Brown, Lily Caroline King, and Eliana Ruth Eubanks; brother, Harry James Wolverton (Janet); sisters-in-law, Charlotte and Thelma Wolverton; special nieces and nephews, Tina Zsenak (Frank), Tommy Wolverton, Diane Robinson, and George “Buddy” Robinson; and numerous others of New Jersey.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Carolina Caring Hospice and an extra special appreciation and thank you to her loving caregivers, Maribeth and Melanie.
The family will gather for a graveside service at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at Daniel Morgan Memorial Gardens, 175 Cemetery St., Cowpens, SC 29330, with Rev. Leonard Bumgardner officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the donor’s choice.
