Rose Swindall Navey

Rose Mary Sturgill Swindall Navey, age 76, of Cherryville, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2022, with her daughters by her side. She was born December 17, 1945, in Wise County Virginia to the late Dewey and Pearl Sturgill.

Rose was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.  She enjoyed spending time with her family.  She always made time for everyone, providing support and love.  Rose owned and operated Rose Mary’s Beauty Salon, a landmark in Cherryville for over 40 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, John Swindall and Charles Navey; granddaughter, Cortney Dover; six sisters, and three brothers.

Rose is survived by her daughters, Lisa Swindall Dover (Keith), and Joanna Swindall Greene (John); grandchildren, Greyson John Dover, Ashlyn Rose Presson, Matthew David Greene, and Joshua Ryan Greene; three brothers; one sister; and a multitude of nieces and nephews.

For those whose lives Rose touched, you are invited to her Celebration of Life on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Carpenter-Porter Funeral Home.
