Ronnie Dale Martin, age 73, of Lincolnton, passed away Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024, at Atrium Health – Cleveland. He was born July 22, 1950, in Cleveland County to the late Henry and Rosia Earwood Martin.

 

In addition to his parents, Ronnie was preceded in death by his brothers, Jerry, Harold, and Joe Martin.

 

Ronnie was a graduate of West Lincoln High School. After high school, he went on to graduate from Gaston College and Cleveland Community College. Ronnie was a veteran of the United States Army. He was tech savvy and enjoyed building and programming computers. Ronnie loved the outdoors and could often be found tilling and planting his garden or riding on his Kubota tractor.

 

Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Teresa Bradley Martin; daughter, Amanda Martin; brothers, Frank Martin, Tommy Martin, David Martin (Frances), Steve Martin (Sherry), John “Bud” Martin (Tippi); sisters, Mary Champion and Dot Carter; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. 

 

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Thursday, April 4, 2024, at Carpenter-Porter Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Key officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 1:45 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Community Church Cemetery.
