Ronald Carpenter

Ronnie Carpenter, 72, passed away very suddenly November 28, 2015. He was born in Crouse, North Carolina on September 18, 1943.

He was proceeded in death by his mother, Merlyn Randall Carpenter; father, Hubert Carpenter; and brother, Dennis Carpenter. He is survived by his sister-in-law Marlyn Eaker Carpenter; nephew, Kern Carpenter and Cheryl (children Dennis and Austin) and niece, Denise Carpenter Berry and Dennis (children Wesley and Macie).

Ronnie was born in Crouse, North Carolina and moved with his family to Homestead in 1956. He attended South Dade High School and graduated in 1961. Ronnie and his parents made their permanent residence in Crouse in 1970, and there after came to Homestead just for the winter months. He was a member of Crouse Methodist Church and 1st United Methodist Church in Homestead. Ronnie was a very special guy and loved by his family and friends. He loved his fishing and had some great tales to tell. Later in life he had his own fishing rod repair business both in NC and FL. He was known all around for the beautiful work he did.

Visitation will be Friday, December 4, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Carpenter's Funeral & Cremation Services, 1100 E. Main Street, Cherryville, NC 28021. Church service will be held, Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 1:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church, 107 W. Academy Street, Cherryville, NC. Burial will follow at Antioch United Methodist Church Cemetery.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at 6:00 PM at Branam Funeral Home, 809 N. Krome Ave., Homestead, FL.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that donation be made In Memory of Ronnie Carpenter to Antioch Methodist Church, PO Box 4, Crouse, NC 28033.
