Raymond Jones

Raymond Arnold Jones, 69, of Cherryville Hwy died Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at his residence. He was born on August 4, 1946 in Gaston County to the late Romie Lester and Margaret Mull Jones. Arnold enjoyed working on his lawnmowers and watching the races. He also had a passion for hunting and loved his beagles.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Cleo Black Jones; and a brother, Jerry "JJ" Jones.

Survivors include his daughter, Rhonda Flowers and husband, Bobby of York, SC; brothers, David, Pete, and Russell Jones of Cherryville and Gene and Lester Jones of Sharon, SC; sisters, Diane Jones of Cherryville and Katherine Mull of Shelby; friends, Bill McNeilly and Clarence Daniels; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the home of Russell Jones, 304 C. St. Cherryville, NC 28021 with Rev. Leonard Bumgardner officiating. Burial will be private.
