Randy Lee Mace

Randy Lee Mace, age 74 of Bessemer City, passed away Friday, August 25, 2023 at his residence.  He was born December 3, 1948 in Lincoln County to the late Louie and Lorene Emma Carpenter Mace.  Randy was a Veteran of the United State Army. He retired from a 29 year mechanical engineer career and then went on to work as a correctional officer in Lincoln County.  He was a member of Puett United Methodist Church.  Randy was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed working on the farm.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Kathy White Mace; and son, Jason Kyle Mace.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Reep Mace; daughter, Angela Mace; grandson, Joshua Daniel Mace; stepchildren, Jonathan Shoup, Whitney Shoup, and Amy Lail (Shane); step-grandchildren, Zoey Gonzalez, Miranda Lail, Dakota Lail, and Christopher Lail; brother, Jerry Mace (Rennie); nephew, Scott Mace (Angela); and niece, Shasta Fase (Cory DeLong).

The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 29, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Carpenter-Porter Funeral & Cremation Services.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Puett United Methodist Church with Rev. Tim Luther and Rev. Sarah Underwood officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
