Phebe Beam

Cherryville - Phebe Eaker Beam, 79, passed away Monday, October 07, 2013, at Carolina Care Center in Cherryville, NC. She was born in Gaston County on April 14, 1934, a daughter of the late Lank Rex Eaker and Sarah Vacie Stroupe Eaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Beam, a sister, Phyllis Eaker and two brothers Heber and Felix Eaker.

She was a graduate of Cherryville High School and Kings Business College. Ms. Beam worked for many years as assistant manager and bookkeeper for Roses Department Stores.
Survivors include a son, Tim Beam, and two grandchildren, Taylor and Andrew Beam, all of Concord, NC.

A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, October 13, 2013 at 2:00PM at St. John's Lutheran Church in Cherryville with Pastor Eric Childers officiating. Burial will be in the family plot at Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00PM to 1:45PM.
