Pearl Ramsey

Pearl Viola Sanders Ramsey, age 86 of Harrilson Rd. passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at Caromont Regional. She was born August 13, 1930 in Lincoln County to the late Grady and Allie Smith Sanders. Pearl worked as a seamtress for Raycrest Mill and was a member of Second Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing and playing cards.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Evan Ramsey, eight siblings and step-daughter, Janet Self.

Survivors include her children, Larry Hannon and wife, Kay of Shelby, Deb Reynolds and husband, Randy of Cherryville, Jerry Ramsey and wife, Tina of Lincolnton and David Ramsey and wife, Glenda of Terrell; siblings, Floyd Sanders, Willard Sanders and Dolly Barger; 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren; and step-daughter, Glenda Hamrick of Cherryville.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 12:00 PM at Carpenter-Porter Funeral & Cremation Services with Rev. Jerry Lail officiating. Burial will follow at City Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 until 11:45 AM prior to the service at the funeral home.
