Paulene Howell

Miss Paulene "Pene" K. Howell, 91, of Sipe St. Kings Mountain, formerly of Lee Black Rd., Cherryville died March 13, 2013. She was born in Gaston Co. on May 18, 1921 a daughter of the late John Franklin and Bessie Strickland Howell. Pene was a member of Second Baptist church and retired registered nurse at Randolph Hospital in Asheboro.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by three sisters Irma Ledwell, Virginia Towery and Roberta Yount.

Survivors include three nephews Terry Yount and wife Kathy of Vale, John L. Yount and wife Barbara of Terrell, and Harold Yount and wife Anita of Cherryville.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 AM at Second Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Lail and Rev. Ken Gibson officiating with burial in city Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday at the church from 10-10:45 AM.
