Patricia Brooks

Patricia Ann Hurt Brooks, age 92, of Requa Rd., died July 6, 2021 at Hospice at Wendover. She was born January 19, 1929 in Pocahontas County West Virginia to the late Dallas and Irma Painter Hurt.

Mrs. Brooks was a retired inspector for MFG Plastic Mfg. She was a member of the
Christiansburg Baptist Church.  She found great pleasure in reading, crocheting, watching all forms of sports, and western movies. Pat would not miss a chance to eat her favorite food, fish.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her son Randall Latham; brothers Wilbur and Richard Hair; and sister, Leona Fisher.

Survivors include a daughter Shelia Lanham Alberti of New York, NY, nephew and caregivers Roy and Claudia Hair of Cherryville, sister Mary Turnbough of Andersonville, TN, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 11am Friday July 9, 2021 at City Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Leonard Bumgardner officiating.

The family will receive friends Friday from 10-10:30 prior to the service at Carpenter Porter Funeral and Cremation Services.
