Oscar Walter Plonk, age 75 of Dallas, passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Caromont Regional Medical Center.  He was born April 30, 1946 in Gaston County to the late W.D. and Margaret Paysour Plonk.  He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Dallas.  Oscar was retired from Rick Hendrick City Chevrolet.  He was a Master Mason and completed Scottish Rites to become a Shriner.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Becky Plonk Stiles; and brother-in-law, Joseph Delaney.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Anne Delaney Plonk; brothers, Steve Plonk and wife, Sandy, and Rick Plonk and wife, Angie; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Danny Stiles, Colleen and Len Applebach, Patricia and Don Austin, and Michael and Mary Delaney ; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, January 23, 2022 at 3:00 PM at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with Pastor John Spencer officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1:00 to 2:45PM prior to the service at the church.  Masks will be required.
