Muriel Grant

Muriel Lena Johnson Grant, age 94, of Dallas-Cherryville Highway, passed away Saturday December 7, 2019 at Peak resources of Cherryville. She was born July 4, 1925 in Casar, NC to the late Crayton Winslow and Amanda Parker Johnson

She was preceded in death by her son, Dennis Guy Wells; brothers, Garl, Pete, and Ed Johnson; and sister, Nadine Morrison.

Left to cherish her memory are her children; Linda McMahan of Crouse, Mike Farris (Roxie) of Crouse, and Frank Farris (Charleen) of Lincolnton; sister, Shirley Reynolds of Crouse; 8 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Muriel’s life will be held at 2 PM Monday December 9, 2019 at Carpenter-Porter Funeral & Cremation Services with Rev. Jaie Warlick officiating.

Her family will receive friends from 1 to 1:45 PM prior to her service at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery.
