Mildred Kneessi

November 1, 1946 — April 26, 2015

Mildred Black Kneessi, age 68, of Boyles Road, died Sunday, April 26, 2015 at her residence. Mildred was born on November 1, 1946 in Lincoln County to the late David Fred and Bertha Ellen Neal Black. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary 9816, Kings Mountain. Mildred was a hairdresser and loved to sing and enjoyed Gospel music.

Survivors include her husband, George Judson Kneessi of the home; a daughter, Beverly "Dabbo" Smith of Lincolnton; two sons, Richie Smith (Lisa) of Lincolnton and Greg Smith (Misty) of York, South Carolina; six grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

A Memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Carpenter's Funeral and Cremation Services with Rev. Leonard Bumgardner officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Lincolnton, NC. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 1:00 to 1:45 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
