Mike Silver

Michael Lamar Silver, 61 of Brown Waterson Rd. passed away Friday, April 13, 2018 at his residence. He was born November 28, 1956 in Buncombe County to the late William Arlon and Thelma Wyatt Silver. Mike was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and enjoyed working on cars. He was an excellent caretaker and looked after his family. Paw Mike's greatest pleasure came from spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Wilma Rhew and Bud Silver; mother-in-law, Mary Whitworth; and brother-in-law Doug Whitworth.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Vickey Whitworth Silver; son, Michael Silver II; daughter-in-law, Marsha Silver; grandchildren, Aysia, Jayden, and Michael III; brother, Frank Silver and wife, Sarah; nieces, Natasha Alexander and Ashley Lackey;sister-in-law, Betty Blanton and husband, Herb; and nephew, Chase Blanton.

The family will receive friends Monday, April 16, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Carpenter-Porter Funeral & Cremation Services. Burial will be private.
