Mary Thompson

Mary Jane Brown Thompson, 84, of 111 Harrillson Rd., formerly of Bluefield, WV, died October 13, 2013 at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia, NC. She was born in Tazwell Co. Virginia on Jan. 20, 1929 a daughter of the late James and Elizabeth Vestal Brown. Mrs. Thompson was a homemaker, loving mother, and a member of The Pentecostal Holiness Church of Bluefield.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband William Donald Thompson, and thirteen brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her children Curtis Thompson of Bluefield, W.Va Martha Davis(Don) of NC and Debbie Wingfield(Russell) of NC, grandchildren Mark Davis , Maryland, Leslie Miller of NC, Colton Thompson of Princeton, W. Va, Donna Thompson and Kelcie Thompson both of Bluefield, W.Va., three great grandchildren Devyn, Skyler , and Caleb Miller, and siblings Mattie Carter, Bluefield, Va, Molly Bogle, Mt. Airy, NC, Ann Lowe, North Tazwell, VA. and Austin Brown of Tip Top VA.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8 PM at Carpenter's Funeral and Cremations Services, Cherryville, NC and at other times at the home of Debbie and Russell Wingfield. The family will also receive friends at Dudley Memorial Mortuary, Bluefield, VA on Friday from 6-9 PM and funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 AM Dudley Memorial Mortuary, Bluefield, VA., with burial in Grandview Memorial Gardens.
