Mary Lindsay

Mary Ellen McGinnis Lindsay, age 73, of Cherryville passed away Friday, October 18, 2019 at Peak Resources in Shelby. She was born July 20, 1946 in Cleveland County to the late Ralph and Margaret Ellen Beattie McGinnis.   She was a member of Independent Baptist Tabernacle in Dallas.  Mary enjoyed crafting of all sorts and playing Bingo.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Martha Martin; and brother, Hugo McGinnis.

She is survived by her son, Kyeth Lindsay and wife, Melody of Cherryville; grandsons, Jonathan Lindsay and wife, Destiny of Kings Mountain, Joshua Lindsay of Cherryville, and Jacob Lindsay of Cherryville; and great grandsons, Cooper and Aiden Lindsay of Kings Mountain.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at 4:00 PM at Carpenter-Porter Funeral & Cremation Services with Rev. Kyeth Lindsay and Rev. Joshua Lindsay officiating. Burial will follow at City Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 3:00 to 3:45 PM prior to the service at the funeral service.
