Margaret Seagle

August 8, 1932 — November 17, 2013

Margaret Louise Wilson Seagle, age 81, of 3617 Tryon Courthouse Rd., died November 17, 2013 at her residence. She was born in Asheville, Buncombe County, on August 8, 1932 a daughter of the late Carl Vernon and Daisy Alma Voney Wilson. Mrs. Seagle was formerly employed by Walmart stores in Florida, worked for the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the American Legion Post 235 for over 30 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 1st husband, CMS. Anthony M. Athens; 2nd husband, James Ray Seagle; brother, Herbert Eugene Wilson; aunt and uncles Henry & Eva Mae Oaks, and Adam Oaks.


Survivors include her step-daughter, Teresa Curtis of Crouse; nephews, Herbie and James Wilson of Florida; aunts and uncles, Beula Ramsey of Harkers Island, Mae Ingrams of Arne, KS, Jane and Carl Hayes of Gastonia, Betty Oaks of Shelby, and Bobby Oaks of Old Fort; five cousins in Crouse, five cousins in Boiling Springs, and one cousin in Ocean Springs, Miss.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 8:00 PM at Carpenter's Funeral & Cremation Services with Rev. Kyeth Lindsay officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:30 to 7:45 PM at the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, FL.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gospel Way Baptist Church, 3904 Tryon Courthouse Rd, Cherryville, NC 28021
