Mamie Carpenter Morris

Mamie Eulan Carpenter Morris, age 88, of Lincolnton, passed away Thursday, October 12, 2023, at her home. She was born October 17, 1934, in Caldwell County to the late John William Edward and Beulah Puckett Carpenter. Mamie was an avid reader of uplifting spiritual books and cherished holding prayer meetings over the phone with her girlfriends. She enjoyed watching Family Feud and Cowboys and Indian Western movies.

In addition to her parents, Mamie was preceded in death by her son, Scott Morris; and brothers, Enoch Carpenter, Albert Carpenter, and Fred Carpenter.

Mamie is survived by her daughter, Susan Morris Morrow; son, Ray Morris (Renee); grandchildren, Johnny Howell, Christopher Abraham “Abe” Morrow, Brittany Renee Morrow Atkins (Billy), and Ryan Joshua Morrow (Kristin); great-grandchildren Atalie Scout Morrow, Haley Marie Allen (Charles), and Bridger Franklin Morrow; great-great grandchild, Grayson Friday; and her beloved Pomeranian, Casey.

A graveside service will be held Monday, October 16, 2023, at 1:00PM at Morris-Rankin Cemetery – 500-598 Sandy Ford Rd, Mt Holly, NC 28120, with the eulogy given by Mamie’s daughter, Susan.
