Maggie Mae Gingles Jones, age 82 formerly of Edna Graves Way, passed away Friday, October 13, 2017 at Caromont Regional Medical Center. She was born January 28, 1935 in Lincoln County to the late Ozelia Linder and William Bus Gingles. Ms. Maggie was a member of Second Baptist Church where she was active with the Mother's Sunday School Class and enjoyed going visiting. When she was no longer able to go in to visit, she would stay on the bus and pray. She loved to socialize with everyone and never met a stranger.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jerome Gingles; and brother, JC Gingles.
Survivors include her niece, Alfreda Gibson and husband, Richard; a host of cousins; family by heart, the Jaramillo-Rivera Family; and all of her extended church family at Second Baptist Church.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Second Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Lail officiating. Burial will follow at City Memorial Cemetery. There will be a receiving of friends from 10:30 to 11:00 prior to the service at the church.
