Maeka Hoover Shronce, age 66 of Crouse, passed away Friday, March 15, 2024, at her residence. She was born October 4, 1957, in Lincoln County to the late Noah and Elizabeth Betsy Hauss Hoover. Maeka retired as a Registered Nurse with the Department of Corrections. She was a member of Bethphage Lutheran Church. She enjoyed crafting and working with paper-mache. Maeka loved her family, worked hard at keeping her husband in line, and adored her grandchildren more than anything.
Survivors include her loving husband of 36 years, John Shronce; children, Haley Hallman and husband, Luke, Cassandra Bower, Jake Shronce and wife, Jessie, and Logan Shronce and wife, Gabby; grandchildren, Morgan and Fallon Dean, Knox Hallman, Rowan Shronce, Everleigh Shronce, Ethan and Laney Hallman; great grandson, Nash Hallman; siblings, Harry Hoover (Ann) and Teresa Houser (Max); brothers-in-law, Lynn Shronce (Lily) and Chris Shronce (Donna); and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at 4:00 PM at Bethphage Lutheran Church with Rev. Thomas Beers officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 3:45 PM prior to the service in the Family Life Center.
A private graveside will be held at a later date at Bethphage Lutheran Church Cemetery.
