Lynn Parris

March 18, 1930 — August 2, 2016

Lynn Beam Parris, age 86, of Tot Dellinger Road passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at her residence. She was born on March 18, 1930 in Cleveland County to the late Arvle Click and Marguerite Kendrick Beam. Lynn was a member of First Baptist Church and was retired from Gaston County Museum of Art and History. She had a passion for cooking. She was voted "Most Athletic" in high school and loved sports. Lynn enjoyed gardening and going out with the "Birthday Girls." She adored her family and friends and cherished her time spent with them.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thurman Carson Parris; sister, Carolyn Gail McCall; and niece, Tamara McCall Grissom.

Survivors include her children, Carson Lee Parris and Kim Beam and husband, Cam; sister, Adrienne Osborne and husband, Frank; grandsons, Brandon Lee Parris, Christopher Taylor Parris, and Garren Lee Beam and wife, Brittany; great grandson, Maddox Lee Beam; nephew, Chris Osborne; and nieces, Elizabeth Osborne, Kathy Payne, Pam McCall, and Jane Spivey

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at 1:00 PM at First Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Vince Hefner officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12:00 to 12:45 PM prior to the service at the church and other times at the home of Kim and Cam Beam.
