Luna Kitchen Burgess

Luna Kitchen Burgess, age 29, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2024, at her home in Lexington, KY. 

Luna was born on April 17, 1995, in Charlotte, NC. She attended Brevard High School in Brevard, NC and Bluegrass Community and Technical College in Lexington, KY. 

She recently worked as a manager at Rally’s Drive-In, displaying wonderful problem solving and people skills. Luna’s friends and coworkers have described her as kind, caring, and a great listener anytime they needed someone to talk to. She was always willing to help others even while dealing with her own struggles and addiction. Her family, friends, and her cat, Shadow, were her biggest passions. 

She is loved and missed by her husband, George; daughter, Chere; mother, Susan Rudisill (Matt); father Rick Black; aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. 

Family, friends, and others are invited to the graveside service Saturday, November 16th at 2pm at Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery. Donations to your local humane society or cat rescue group would be appreciated.
