Lisa Mcgowan

Lisa Renee Pruitt McGowan, age 53, of Mozelle Road, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2022, at her residence. She was born February 24, 1969, in Cleveland County to the late Marvin Ray and Sadie Verline Adams Pruitt.

Lisa was a member of Anthony Grove Baptist Church. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed going out to eat. Lisa had a wonderful personality and enjoyed a good time while cutting up and aggravating her friends and family. She also enjoyed watching her son, Josh, sing and play music. When you were with Lisa, there was never a dull moment. She will be missed dearly.

In addition to her parents, he was preceded in death by her husband, Barry Randolph “Randy” McGowan, and her father-in-law, Bob McGowan.

Survivors include her children, Josh McGowan (Nikki) and Ashley McGowan (Tyler); brothers, Curtis Pruitt, Ricky Pruitt, Randy Pruitt, and Michael Pruitt (Martha); grandchildren, Carson Sellers, and Austin Shoemake; and several close friends, including Candy Adams Bradshaw.

Her family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, September 1, 2022, at Carpenter-Porter Funeral & Cremation Services.

A private graveside will be held at Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Dennis Bean officiating.
