Laura Louise Frantz

Laura Louise Frantz, age 71 of Cherryville, passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at Atrium Health Charlotte.  She was born February 19, 1952 in Baltimore, Maryland, a daughter of the late Joseph Earl Smith, Jr. and Betty Lou Meeker Smith.  Laura was full of life, enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and loved to travel.  She was a beautiful Christian woman who always put others before herself.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Lawrence Frantz.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Greg McNair; son, Thomas Patrick Judd, Jr.; grandchildren, Aaron Grogan, Tyler Judd, Evan Judd, Caleb McNair, and Lauren McNair; great grandchild, Greyson Ellis; siblings, Sonny Smith, John Smith, Mary Smith, Joseph Smith, and Teresa Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
