Kenny Sellers

Kenny Ray Sellers, age 62 of Mary Oak Lane passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2018 peacefully while doing what he loved best, hunting in the woods. He was born April 5, 1956 in Gaston County to Bennie Ray "B.R." Sellers of Bessemer City and Janet Carpenter Sellers of Gastonia. He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church. Kenny was a longtime machinist with PMP of Gastonia where his work friends became his family. He was an avid NASCAR fan, enjoyed fishing, and his greatest passion was hunting.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Cathy Sellers; and sister, Oneda S. Harbin.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his children, Nicholas Sellers and wife, Jennifer of Cherryville and Ashley Sellers of Dallas; grandchildren, Brooklyn and Carter Sellers, Nizion, Kameron, and Xavier Dial, Makara Stewart, and Tyler Middleton; brother, Jerry Sellers and Jahna L. Wilder of Orlando FL; sisters, Carol S. Ballance of Crouse and Jennifer S. Hester and husband, Jeremiah of Gastonia; brother-in-law, Ken Harbin of Belmont; nephew, Will Harbin; and niece, Audrey Hester.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 23, 2018 at 2:00 PM at St. Mark's Lutheran Church with Rev. Jonathan Gantt officiating. Burial will follow at Westview Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday from 1:00 to 1:45 PM prior to the service at the church.
