Kenneth Pruett

Kenneth Michael Pruett, 67, of North Mountain Street, died July 4, 2015 at Carolina Medical Center, Charlotte. He was born in Lincoln County, December 24, 1947 a son of the late Linnie Houston & Edith Ingle Pruett. Kenneth was owner of Mirage Image Studio of Taxidermy. He was a creative and talented taxidermist known all over the United States and was a member of the NC Taxidermist Assoc. He also was a country and western musician and singer and recently played with the Broken Axle Band.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years Linda Howard Pruett, son Shane Pruett(Grechen) of Lake Placid, Fl. a daughter Dawn Conner(Paul) of Dallas, three grandchildren Allaine Pruett, Owen and Will Conner, sister Janice Champion, Cherryville and brother James H. Pruett(Danita) of Charlotte.

A memorial service will be held Saturday at Second Baptist Church at 3 PM with Rev. Jerry Lail and Rev. Rick Owens officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends Saturday at the church fellowship hall from 1-2:45 PM and at other times at the home.
