Kenneth Carpenter

Kenneth Earl "Sheriff" Carpenter, age 76 of Bess Chapel Road, died January 7, 2015 at Carolina Medical Charlotte. Mr. Carpenter was born in Lincoln County on January 8, 1938 son of the late Raymond Carpenter and Letha Short Carpenter Lail and was raised by his step-father Julus Lail. He was retired for Hickory MFG, as a repairman and had also worked for Carlton Mill and Mitchem Garage. Mr. Carpenter also enjoyed farming and working at Gales Produce Stand in North Brook and was a member of Knob Creek United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Eunice Willis Carpenter, of Cherryville, a son, David Earl Carpenter of North Brook, two grandsons, James Carpenter and Wayne Carpenter both of North Brook a great grandson Hunter Grant Carpenter.

The family will receive friends Friday, January 9, 2015 from 6:00 - 7:30 PM at Carpenter's Funeral and Cremation Services. The funeral and burial will be private.
