Kaye Mckown

Kaye Chapman McKown, age 75, formerly of York, SC, passed away Friday, May 12, 2017 at Carolina Care Health and Rehabilitation. She was born May 16, 1941 in Lincoln County to the late Charles William and Ruby Smith Chapman. She was a member of Restoring Hope Foursquare Church in Dallas. Kaye was formerly employed at Doran Mills and Walmart. She enjoyed playing the piano.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joel McKown; and brothers, John and Steve Chapman.

Survivors include her twin sister, Faye Butler and husband, Marshall; nieces, Michelle Willis, Leisa Marsh, Robin Chapman, Sue Owens, and Angela Bumgarner; nephews, Gene Butler, Bobby Chapman, David Chapman, Bill Chapman, and Larry Chapman; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, May 15, 2017 at 4:00 PM at Restoring Hope Foursquare Church officiated by Rev. Fred Morrison, Rev. Bob Wise, and Rev. Jack Fox. Burial will follow at Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 3:00 to 3:45 PM prior to the service at the church.
