Kay Taylor

Kay Frances Willis Taylor, age 77 of Sorrells Baxter Rd. passed away Monday, October 22, 2018 at her residence. She was born April 9, 1941 in Cleveland County to the late Burgin Jacob and Bertha Cook Willis. She was an excellent homemaker who enjoyed cooking, baking, and spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Lee Taylor; daughters, Donna Taylor and Teresa Taylor; son, Dennis Taylor; brothers, Garry, Dwight, and David Willis; and sisters, Annie Ferrell, Velma Hartsoe, and Ruth Ledbetter.

Survivors include her daughter, Leslie McSwain and husband, Dean of Cherryville; grandchildren, Heather King and husband, Chris, Lacey Towery and Chris Jenkins, and Carlee Huss; great grandchildren, Zane, Paizlee, Preslee, Wyatt, Hazen, Abby, and Brantley; brother, JC Willis; and sisters, Inez Willis, Hazel Hartsoe, Virgie Heavner, Judy Gales, and Brenda Cook.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at 4:00 PM at City Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Leonard Bumgardner officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the home on Sorrells Baxter Rd.
