Katy Devine

Katy Elizabeth Devine, age 83 of 145 Doc Wehunt Road, died January 1, 2013 at Lutheran Home West in Hickory. Katy was born June 11, 1929 in Cleveland County a daughter of the late Percy G. and Reva Whithworth Dellinger. She was retired from Mohican Mills and a member of the Cherryville High School class of 1948 and was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother John Dellinger.

Survivors include two sons, John Devine and wife Audrey of Belmont and James Devine and wife Louann of Cherryville, two daughters Margaret Walters and husband Mark and Mary Devine both of Hickory, five grandchildren and four great grandchild, a brother Tom Dellinger and wife Cookie of Huntersville, a sister Margaret Marshall and husband Jim of Concord and a sister in law Carolyn Dellinger of Cherryville..

Funeral services will be held Friday January 4, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Key officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday January 3, 2013 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
