Kathryn Foster

Kathryn Elizabeth McSwain Foster, age 80, of Black Rd, died January 10, 2014 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. She was born on October 30, 1933 a daughter of the late Winfred and Florence Black McSwain. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and had retired from Dora Yarn Mills with 36 years of service.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Alan Foster; a brother, Ralph McSwain and son-in-law Dale Hoyle.

Survivors include her husband, Ralph J. Foster; daughters, Loretta Hoyle of Cherryville, Charlotte Fleenor and husband, Joe of Denver, and Patience Huffman and husband, Tim of Blacksburg; daughter-in-law, Teresa Foster of Cherryville; granddaughters, Chelsy Hoyle, Mindy Foster, Delana Ferguson and husband, Alex, Makenzie Huffman, and Cheyenne Huffman; step-grandson, Tim Hoyle and wife, Chrissie; brothers, Fred McSwain, Delbert McSwain and wife, Betty, J.R. McSwain and wife, Judy, and Daniel McSwain all of Cherryville; sisters, Sue Tomlin of Cherryville and Linda Russell of Calhoun, GA; great grandchildren, Ethan and Ansley Ferguson, step grandchild Riley Hoyle; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Key officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:45 prior to the service in the church fellowship hall.
