March 16, 1954 — June 20, 2015

Katherine "Kathy" Lytle Huffstetler Cooke, age 61 of Sain Rd. died Saturday, June 20, 2015 at her residence. She was born March 16, 1954 in Guilford County to the late Albert Lealon and Marjorie Annolene Barnes Lytle. Kathy graduated from Ashbrook High School and went on to receive her certification as a nursing assistant. She worked as a CNA for 23 years at Caromont Regional Medical Center. She was a former member of Parkwood Baptist Church, and a member of Gastonia Moose Lodge, Women of the Moose where she served as Senior Regent.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Margaret Lytle Walker.

Survivors include her children, Holly Young and husband, Donald of Lincolnton, and Johnathan Lytle and wife, Crystal of Clover, SC; and grandchildren, Joshua Alan Young, Braxton James Young, and Jacob Riley Lytle.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at 10:30 AM at Carpenter's Funeral & Cremation Services with Rev. Leonard Bumgardner officiating. Burial will follow at Bessemer City Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10:00 to 10:30 AM prior to the service.
