Judd Harrelson

“Judd” William Clay Harrelson, III of Lincolnton, passed away Monday, October 24, 2022 at his residence surrounded by family after a courageous battle with Ewings Sarcoma.  He was born March 4, 2003 in Gaston County to Clay Harrelson and Haylee Huss Harrelson.  Judd was a 2021 graduate from West Lincoln High School where he played baseball and basketball.  He was pursuing a degree in nursing from Gaston College and Lenoir Rhyne.  Judd was an avid fisherman, enjoyed golfing, cornhole, playing cards, and pickleball.  He also enjoyed playing online video games with his buddies.  Judd always loved to have fun with family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Clay and Haylee Harrelson; brother, Zander Harrelson; grandparents, Vickie Shelton, Clay and Brenda Harrelson, and Eddie Shelton; aunts, uncles, and cousins, Christy and Ray Pless (Tyler and Kolby), Tina and Scott Heafner (Chase and Logan), and Tracy and Charlie Ward (Kaylee); his golden doodles, Dolly and Bentley; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends Thursday, October 27, 2022 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Carpenter-Porter Funeral & Cremation Services.

A funeral service will be held Friday, October 28, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Blazin’ Trails Cowboy Church, 1222 Ponderosa Rd. Lincolnton, with Brother Josh Carpenter officiating.

A private burial will be held at Gainsville Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the physicians and medical teams at Levine Children’s Hospital and Pediatric Oncology.

The family will also remember the kindness and support shown from the entire Lincoln County and Surrounding Communities. Thank you to everyone who has been on this journey with them.  #JUDDSTRONG
