Juanita Marie Haffa Ford, age 76 of 330 Pine Ave. died on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. She was born on March 29, 1939 in New Jersey. Juanita was a Christian of great faith. She attended Holy Gospel Missionary Church in Blacksburg. She was very in tune with nature. She enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, rock collecting, and was a keeper of the animals. Juanita also had a great interest in painting. She was formerly employed at Defender Industries where she was a forklift operator and thoroughly enjoyed her work.
She is survived by her husband, Cleveland Ford of Shelby; children, Christine McGhee of Cherryville, Richard McGhee (Janeen Kaylor) of Boger City, and Frances Marie "Peanut" McGhee (Sam Chipps) of Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Joshua Kaylor, Crystal Hope (Andrew Hope), Jesse Kaylor, and Jenna McGhee; great grandchildren, Trent Hope, Zoe Kaylor, Natalie Hope, Sarah Hope, Zeke Kaylor, and Julia Grant; mother-in-law, Rev. Lillie Ford; sister, Terri Englehart; and brother, Richard Violé.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 22, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Carpenter's Funeral & Cremation Services with Rev. Leonard Bumgardner officiating. Burial will follow at City Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 1:00 to 1:45 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
