Joyce Peeler

Joyce Peeler Peeler, age 74 of Peeler Rd. passed away peacefully at her residence Tuesday, March 7, 2017. She was born May 3, 1942 in Gaston County to the late Walt and Alda Peeler. Joyce graduated from Cherryville High School and had a career of 30 years with Teamsters Local 61. She was a lifelong and dedicated member of Second Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Tommy Peeler; son, Kerry Peeler and wife, Rochele; daughter, Deana Peeler Leatherman and husband, Travis; two grandchildren, Taylor Rae Leatherman and Hunter Quay Leatherman; and many loving and caring family and friends.

The family would like to thank Elizabeth Farrell of Maxim Healthcare, Hospice of Cleveland County, and supportive family, church, neighbors, and friends who showed their love in so many ways.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 10, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Second Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Lail and Rev. Kerry Peeler officiating. Burial will follow at Reeps Grove United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Carpenter-Porter Funeral & Cremation Services.
